show gui toggle when a button is pressed

Hi I currently have 6 gui button I am trying to have a tickbox(toggle) associated with each button, so when a button is pressed its toggle appears. This toggle will then display text when pressed, but one thing at a time I guess, I am an artist struggling with code( dont think they mix well :)) also, should the button script have the toggle code within it or should it be a seperate script so any pointers greatly appreciated
