Fishing rod behaviour
Hey guys,
Just wondering what the best approach would be to simulate a fishing rod behaviour (pulling it down and bending, releasing and snapping back to the original position). My two options i've thought of are IK and Hinge Joints. I'll need to be able to drag the tip through mouse/finger input up and down and release it and snap back to the original position. The problem i've had with doing things like this with Hinge Joints is that you can drag objects apart and if you drag them far and fast enough limits are ignored and it just looks messy.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
