adding vertices in blender, not recognized in unity?
Hi,
i added a face to my character, instead of a simple sphere. It works fine in Blender with the animations, the face follows the rest of the body when it is moving. But when the character is imported in Unity, the face disappears.
Would you know why this happen? i added the weight on the face, so it is following the rest of the body; i checked if some vertices were hidden, but they are not... I really don't know what is happening? Any idea?
Thanks
I've been using Blender to make all of my characters in my video game, arxcatalyst.weebly.com. Can you upload the file? I'd be happy to take a look at it for you. I'm assu$$anonymous$$g you're using blender 2.64?
@OwenReynolds thanks, actually i can see the face, but it is transparent! when i click on the character and i zoom to the face and then turn around with the camera, i can see the triangles and the shape of the face. But if i am exactly in front of the character, i can see through him, with the background behind him... i erased his material and texture in Blender, and imported the .fbx in a new project, but i've got the same thing...?
@OwenReynolds Owen you were right, the normals were flipped! Thanks a lot ;-)
When you select the model, Unity shows you a wireframe of the verts and tris. It's used for troubleshooting exactly as you did. In your case, it showed you that Unity did at last recognize the new verts.

Can you see the face from behind the character? (if so, the normals are flipped.)
