EditorUtility.GetMiniThumbnail
Dear All,
How does GetMiniThumbnail method works?
Texture t2d=EditorUtility.GetMiniThumbnail(Resources.Load("Prefabs/apple")) as Texture;
GUI.DrawTexture(new Rect(300,120,100,100),t2d,ScaleMode.ScaleToFit);
I need it to put screenshot of my gameobject in the inventory, also if it works it will become possible to put animated object as sprite to the inventory list.

@geronika2004 I know this is really late.. becaus you posted this 2012 and its almost 2019.. so it probably wont help, but i had the same problem and found out that
your texture = AssetPreview.GetMiniThumbnail(your object);
worked for me.. you just need to use the editor and (obviously) the engine:
using UnityEngine; using UntiyEditor;

i dont know why it showed up as normal letters ins$$anonymous$$d of code, but i think you get the point
