How to create varying friction in tracks?
Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to create tracks with varying friction i.e. If the car moves within the specified boundary it should move with normal speed if it crosses that boundary and enters into grass or dirt or similar things, the speed should decrease. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you :)
If only wheel colliders used physics materials... this question wouldn't have to be asked :(
You could by modelling the road and checking for collision with the road or terrain, wouldn't know if there is any other way to do it though.

I would add a different physic material to each collider. You can do this by right clicking in project view -> Create -> Physic Material. Then add the desired friction desired and drag to your collider under material.
