iPhone tracking distance from computer?

Is it possible that you can connect the iPhone to the computers wifi system but have the phone send information on how far away the phone is from the computer? EX:i turn on my phone and the computer tells me that the phone or device is 42 inches away in the certain direction.. like a sonar.. im trying to create it to were the phone is a motion controller. the character moves when the phone moves. also i dont wanna rotate the phone and i move, i want to make it where you literally move...

possible? if so..how?
