2d box/polygon colliders are uneditable straight lines
I'm very new too unity so I'm probably just making a stupid mistake, but I've been trying to make a 2.5d space shooter game. I'm trying to make a polygon collider around my spaceship model, but for some reason it just becomes a straight horizontal line. When I try to edit it, the only thing I can do is change it's length. I've tried making a 2d sprite with a polygon collider (which worked) and copying the component over (which didn't work). The same thing happens with box 2d colliders, but circle 2d colliders work properly. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
sounds to me as if your camera is not looking along the z axis but from any other direction (probably top)
I thought that too but my camera is facing the right direction (I'm using the default main camera with a 2d project) and if I go into the 3d view the collider is still a line.
if it's facing right it's exactly not the direction 2D colluders work. the camera has to look along the z axis
I have the same problem, have you happened to find a solution?
No, sorry. I've just been using a circle collider.
Strange are you using a plane, because I can't do it with a plane, but with a 3d box I can ...
