Physics for customizable hair

Hey, I have game where you can customize your character. Hair mesh (from list) just instantiating as child of empty object, which connected to bone of base model, It working well, but for hairstyles like ponytail I want to use some simple physics to make it more realistic. Everywhere people recommending use skinned cloth, but problem is - my hair mesh isn't skinned. So... Is it any way to make skinned cloth follow other object?
