How to make car sounds like a real rally car
I'm making a car game and I really want to know how to make cars in unity sound grate, And I want my car sounds like a real rally car, and I know just with one car audio clip and pitching the audio simply cant service, so if I got multi audio clip with different range of rpm, Is there any way to achieve this sound like the link blow, Is anybody know how to do this or just give me some kind of tips, thinks!
A really good car sound is very hard to achieve. An audio guy friend of $$anonymous$$e that worked on some AAA car games told me that they used something like 17 different samples (for each car) just for accelerating. Those samples were crossfaded, pitch shifted and overlaid depending on RP$$anonymous$$, engine load etc. things that affect the sound.
You can get a decent "early 2000's" car sound by using the mentioned tricks if you manage to find good samples.
I got samples form Racing Game FZ4 And I got 16 clip for just the exhaust, and I want to find a way to what you said "Those samples were crossfaded, pitch shifted and overlaid depending on RP$$anonymous$$" , and I cant find a good example or salutation.
