Does the Asset Store accept FBX models with embedded media?
I have created 20 models in Maya which all have been exported to Unity as FBX files with the embedded media option checked. The models were imported fine and I was able to work with them and make prefabs.
Later I wanted to submit them to the asset store for sale. I was getting error message for every model saying that they could not be used because they have the textures embedded to them!
Can anyone help me ? I don't want to export each model without textures and then create materials for each one of them in Unity and apply them to the models. Is there a work around ?
Thanks for the time.
I experienced the same with a $$anonymous$$aya model I have from a third party collaborator. I don't know $$anonymous$$aya and how the textures are embedded as media into model. I received the error from Unity when I tried to submit the project and I simple removed files Unity talking about (a folder with .fbm extension) and I resubmit project successfully, with the model textures appearing correct in the final asset package (materials and textures folders staying in place along of model fxb file; for me, looks .fbm folder is redundant and doing nothing since you have textures files copied under a Texture folder prior to import FBX file). $$anonymous$$ay this help.
