Does unity allow adult/pornographic content?
Confused because content policy specifies no pornographic materials but I've read posts on internet where users say that it is allowed or that developers have made games of such genre using unity. Can anyone clarify it? Seeing that physical violence and killing are well-accepted mainstays in many games intended for adult audiences, I would like to get a perspective on sexually explicit contents.
Unity is a game engine. Thus Unity can and will not vouch/stand for anything that is created using this engine. This is completly open and up to you.
What you have to look out for however is where you put your created content. Is it pornographic? -> maybe it needs rating then. Is it violent? -> well as we all know that is a grey line somewhat but may also need rating. Just don't be stupid and build another rape simulator like someone who added that to steam some years ago. That is really not needed.
Thanks Captain_Pineapple for the response. Just wanted to know if unity as an engine can object to the content created using it. And definitely no stupidity here. Sexual contents can be approached ethically for sure.
