Question by 5imply · Apr 28, 2016 at 11:16 AM · objectsmeshcollidercullingcutting

How do i make object when collided be cutted/culled?

I want to make it possible to cut object that tries to go through other objects. For example, a tree is placed outside a building and is placed quite close to the wall. One or more branches goes through the wall of the building. I do not want the branches to be visible on the other side of the wall. How can I cut away the branches to prevent this? I also want the Object in which shall be cutted to only interacted with the given objects. For example only trees are be cutted with walls.

The image represent a wall and a tree. The left side is the "inside" side of the wall, and the right is the "outside" of the wall. The tree is placed close to the wall and is cutting through it. alt text

Thanks for answer. However, that is not what I am after. See, I want any object that passes an object (area/wall/portal) to be gone. Not necessarily chopped off to two pieces, but at least hide the parts that shouldn't be visible on the "other side" (in other objects).
