Issues with the collision matrix, collisions still happen sometimes.
So i'm making modular characters (picture rayman), and when they die they spawn a "gib" of the body part that is a rigidbody. The effect looks really cool... however, there's a problem. Although the collisions between players and gibs don't usually happen, they do in these two occasions.
When I spawn the gib object, which is already a prefab in the gibs layer. The character (based on third person character from the standard assets), slows down.
It also happens when there's a stack of gibs and the player is surrounded inside them, his speed slows down.
Am I doing anything wrong?
