UI events in edit mode
Hi there,
My question is the following:
Is it possible to use UI elements in Edit mode, currently my buttons are not triggering any event, and I must press play to get them working.
For some reasons I really need UI features in edit mode, does anyone know if it is possible at all ?
Cheerio, Mat.

Hey there,
The UI system is not setup to work in edit mode. The Event System will not handle any input what so ever.
Cheers,
Bummer. The property inspector from Unity is a pretty powerful tool. Would be cool if we could either bring that up in a custom Editor Window, or could combine the Scene+Game view to make an editor that uses the Unity Scene as a save format.
Think about it; it already has amazing serialization/deserialization support, customization, default editors for basic types, parenting, linking references to other objects and resources, show/hide, copy paste... everything you'd want in an editor. But you have to go to run mode to access the input events. But in Run mode, the scene doesn't get "saved". Ack! Such a missed opportunity.
