Flame Thrower Particle System problem with movement

Hey Guys,

I don't know if I'm doing it right, but I have a flame thrower system particle (Shuriken), that i want to emit in front of my vehicle. It goes pointing in the direction that the vehicle is going. When the vehicle is not moving. it's ok, but when I go forward, It just flames on the vehicle, I want it to go forward with the vehicle. I found something called Inherit Velocity. It seems to quite work, but the problem is when I go back, I still want it to emit in front of me, but with the Inherit Velocity, it makes it go back towards me. Does somebody has an idea, how to make it always emit in front of me wether im going forward or backward ?

Thanks a lot !

Claude

Why not just attach the particle object to the car object as a child and make the particle system set it in local space so it moves with the car and shoots forward as if its sitting still.

It is because it looks more realistic when it is in world space. Do you think that there would be another way of doing it ?
