Basic Multiplayer System
Hi there, I have been searching all over for a basic tutorial for someone new to the networking side of things in Unity. All the Tutorials I have found either do not work or are for something else completely and do not help.
All I am attempting to do is make it so players can create games and play with them as the host. Give them the option to select 1 of 2 teams. In the past when I gave attempted this, 1 player will control all the cameras and control all players movements.
If anyone could help me get this made, just spawning in players and letting them move around I would be very grateful.
Thanks

Well you can use this link to learn and can use in your games too easily http://www.paladinstudios.com/2013/07/10/how-to-create-an-online-multiplayer-game-with-unity/
Do you know how I could turn it into a basic FPS. I tried this one a while ago but one player controlled everyone. I dont mean like the shoiting and all, just the ability for players to walk around.
Actually when server will be created and client will be connected, An instance of player object will be created. Attach this script in player prefab :-
function update(){
if(networkView.is$$anonymous$$ine){
playerControl(); /* in this function you can do anything for player */
}
}
Then you will only control your player or object. Don't forget to add Network View Component in your prefab.
You can find it here-> Component->$$anonymous$$iscellaneous->Network View
