Making an Online Unity Game
Hello again guys, Before anyone bites my head off, I am well aware that the entire topic of networking is a study in and of itself. What I'm asking is if there is a simple way to achieve online functionality in Unity, and if not, what resources would you guys recommend for someone completely new to Networking? I am now working on Spaceship shooter type game, and I would love to add multiplayer online functionality. Any help of points in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks, you guys have always been very helpful, so I thought I'd turn to you for this.
Added "networking" tag so it's more general (not just for "$$anonymous$$$$anonymous$$Os"). This was a good answer and can help a lot of people--I'll probably see this in the future when i look to add networking =)

There is a networking example project found on the unity website: http://unity3d.com/support/resources/example-projects/networking-example Some documentation: http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Manual/Networked%20Multiplayer.html
And lastly, checking out Unity's scripting reference for networking stuff should also help. Good luck - from what I've heard, networking is quite an adventure in itself.
EDIT: And I just found this: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/29015-UniKnowledge-entry-Unity-Networking-the-Zero-to-Hero-guide
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for (The Zero to Hero guide). You're a life saver.
