How to get rid of TextMeshPro's Icon when I'm not selecting it
The text icon for textmeshpro is blocking my screen. It is only hidden when I'm selecting the game object. How do I remove that icon for the textmeshpro?

Click the Gizmos button at the top of the Scene view and click on the icon to hide, in your case the TextMeshProUGUI icon.
Note: as mentioned (but I overlooked it) it's the ICON you need to click, not the check mark next to it.
