FBX Animation imports wrongly
Hi,
I'm trying to import an animation in Unity 5, and it kind of works. My only problem is that the feet are 'hovering' over the ground, instead of keeping in place. Kind of like they're on ice. This is very annoying and I have no idea what to do. I tried every bake option in Maya, but the only place it looks weird is Unity.
Does anyone know how to solve this? I am also unable to check the 'bake animations' box, but the animation does look similar to what it should be. (Actually only the feet look off because they're positioned on a non-moving object).

Sounds like perhaps your character is being controlled by root motion perhaps instead of animation. I should take a look at the docs for this and check you are following the animation set up accordingly. Here are some links:
http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/AnimationOverview.html http://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/modules/beginner/animation
Otherwise please provide a bit more info regarding all the steps you took or submit a bug and post the reference number here IF your research does not help solve the issue.
