Gamepad not fully functioning on android device but works fine on unity

hey everyone.

i'm currently developing a vr games for android. and i created a main menu in world space that can be controlled by Dpad on my gamepad (Xiaomi Wireless Gamepad). i manage to make it work like a charm when i did a playtest on unity. however, when i build the apk and tested it on my Android Device, the Dpad for controlling the main menu doesn't work, but the analog to move around is all good. I have no idea why so if everyone have an idea about what's wrong, i would be appreciated it. Cheers!.
