Asset store freezes up everything
Opening the asset store freezes up everything for a long time. This isn't a machine performance issue (the system i'm working on is extremely powerful).
This has been happening more and more recently but long ago it wasn't an issue. The bigger problem is that it's actually preventing me from downloading Mixamo animations (because they're downloaded through the asset store window)
How can I fix this? This can't just be a server issue can it? It's literally taking minutes (If it actually gets there) to perform very simple actions like navigating to the My Downloads tab. It's freezing all of unity not just the Asset Store window while it does this.
I am also having this issue. When I launch the asset store from Unity it freezes the program for about 5-10 $$anonymous$$s.
But then it continues. Were you able to get to your asset?
I have the same issue. Since I have Unlimited+, I have dozens (maybe hundreds) of animations. Each one is listed as a separately-downloadable purchase. I'm not sure the Asset Store window was designed with this in mind. So there isn't a solution except "Wait until Unity fixes it"? How am I supposed to use the -$1500- plugin in the meantime!?
I hear you. I also posted the question on $$anonymous$$ixamo's community forum, but I doubt they can do anything. It sounds like the problem isn't as bad for me, merely annoying. Have you submitted a bug report to Unity? $$anonymous$$ixamo is a pretty big partner with them, so they might act on this quickly.
I am trying to do my first something in Unity, I have that same problem (zero assets), do you Unity guys really test your stuff?
