What does the "Correct" percentage on my profile mean and how is it calculated?
Hello,
I understand how "reputation" is calculated but I can't find any info on "Correct."
Thanks.

I believe it's calculated as: of all the answers you posted, how many were accepted. It's unfortunately largely meaningless since so many posters don't come back to explicitly mark an answer as accepted.
That's good enough for me, I accept your answer!;) This would explain why sometimes I'll see a good answer be posted as a comment. I try to be good about that sort of thing. I've even urged someone to convert their comment as an answer just so I can accept it. On the flip-side, one time after a user posted a helpful answer, I posted my own "better" answer and accepted $$anonymous$$e :/ At the time it felt like "the right thing to do," but as I've been learning more about these "mechanics" I'm realizing I probably shouldn't have done that.. Thanks for clearing this up!
I'd say your first instincts are correct - post based on making the site easier for others - for people who Search later and find your Q.
I$$anonymous$$HO, people scam$$anonymous$$g UA for points do more harm than good, so don't worry about hurting their feelings. But, big but: the Help Room area is for Qs that don't belong here (see the FAQ and the Help Room sticky. Basically, Qs that in the regular areas would get "please read the manual and a C# book.") Be nice to people who bother to respond to you there.
