[SOLVED] Unity doesnt respond as soon as it opens
I've been trying to use Unity, and it opens just fine. But then, as soon as the editor opens, 2 things occur.
The first happens every time: As soon as it opens, nothing works. It doesn't respond to anything, but the window never says it isn't responding, only Task Manager tells me it won't respond.
The second is one of two things:
Either 1. within 3 seconds, I get a window with a loading bar and the unity logo (with a red square and white "!" in the top left of the logo) OR 2. after about 3 minutes, I get the same window WITHOUT the red square and "!"
If it matters, I use an ACER laptop with Windows 7 (x86) (My other PC is currently being repaired), and my keyboard and mouse (since I have seen similar questions where external mouse/keyboard was a problem) is the mouse from the Hypergear 4 in 1 kit and the keyboard is the HAVIT Magic Eagle game series keyboard.
Unity version is 2019.4.16f1.
HUB version is 2.4.2.

[EDIT] Found the problem. Unity requires windows update KB2533623, which isn't available to download on Windows 7 since January (yet, for some reason, is still available today as far back as Vista). Anyone that sees this, if you have the same problem, get the KB3063858 update, or, if possible, the KB4457144 update, and it should work then.
.
If it STILL doesn't work, then that's where I can't help anymore.
I would recommend updating your version of Unity, as this issue doesn't occur in later builds.
