Is it possible to disable OSX hotkeys?

I´m programming a complex program with Unity, and there is a need for shortcuts. But on OS X i always have the problem that cmd + KEY is predefined by the OS.

I could brake the mental model of the OS X user, by not using cmd + keys for similar functions. But i don´t want to do it.
