8 months of work lost, I need to rollback unity..?
Yesterday I downloaded "Unity Samples: Robot Lab" into my project that I have been working on for more than 8 months, I was really tired so I did not think that mutch and after the import was done I realised that it was a project.. NOT A PACKAGE!?! NOW all my Input settings and mutch more is gone/lost. I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this!
8 months and you didn't make one single backup that whole time "just in case" ?
Well, we learn from mistake and unfortunately, I don't see any way to revert that. It is not even related to Unity how you can get back.
So it is time for you to discover the joy and simplicity of Git, $$anonymous$$ercurial and other version control systems. Using those and a simple command line:
git clone https://github.com/$$anonymous$$yEight$$anonymous$$onthOldProject.git
and you would be back to normal.
TBH, for a simple project you could just use Dropbox to store version history...
Or even Ctrl-D if you want to be easy. But I feel we are just stirring inside the wound so, sorry there is nothing you can do.
