Smoothing a line?

Hey guys,

Made this line by connecting some 3d points i've stored in an array. What would be the best way to smooth it out using mathematical formulas? The points must stay in the same spot however everything in between is ok to be moved.

Cheers, Chris!

How do you want them to be smoothed?

I suppose like a bezier curve? I've just scripted a way to find the tangents I'd like to use.

Should it be a mesh or a drawing? If it can be a drawing than you might be able to use Handles.DrawBezier(). If it has to be a mesh, I would start out with creating a new point in between the original points then put a new point in between those points... What is the maximum number of points you would want?

Yeah just found this ^. However I'm planning on making it into a mesh at some point. Do you know of any way I can use handles.DrawBezier to make my curve and then find the y coordinate of points on the curve?

I don't know of any way of doing that. Do you $$anonymous$$d sharing the code/points?
