Lighting for a planet on mobile
I am making a space game for mobile and I want to make a planet. I have tried using the Planet shader from the wiki but it doesn't seem to work. I am currently just using a diffuse shader. I want to target iPhone 3GS minimum.
What I am aiming for: Bright rim on the side of the planet nearest the star. A slight glow beyond the edge of the sphere. Uneven lighting, something like a specular map? (is this supported on mobile?)
As always, any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

you can try and create an atmosphere around the sphere, i did this once by just placing a light in the middle of the sphere with "draw halo" on its a very simple solution tough
You can pretty much do anything you want, 3GS and up. Framerate will suffer if you go too crazy. This does not seem like something appropriate for Unity Answers, as the possibilities are endless.
