Animation Rigging - IK not aligning
Simply put, when I rig a character and apply a 2 bone IK (or any other for that matter) the bone does not in any way align with the target or hint. I can move the target, and the bone moves around as well, but not towards the target. For example, if I apply a 2 bone IK to an arm, it is squished. If I apply multi parent constraint to the head and chest, it looks above the target instead of at it.
I have used animation rigging in the past quite successfully, but due to reasons (thanks windows 10) I had to do a full OS reinstall. Only since then the problem has been occurring.
I have tried installing multiple versions of Unity as well, just to be sure, but that doesn't seem to help. I have tried different models, still no luck there either. Primarily I am working using Synty assets and Mixamo basic animations as a starting point, but I will be using MoCap for finer things and need IK for correct object interaction.
Anyone, please help. I've run out of ideas, and no one else I have found so far has had the same issue.

My life is sort of an unofficial sequel to A Series of Unfortunate Events. One thing after another, I'm afraid, of things that go wrong simply because they can. So I completely understand if it can't be fixed.
