Can you simulate the behavior of Transform.RotateAround using a Rigidbody?

Hello, I'm currently using Transform.RotateAround to make a certain object I have rotate about a point. It seems like the most convenient way to do it by far, and I'm not familiar enough with the required maths to do it manually. However, I need to check if this object collides with anything, and since it's moving using a transform, the colliders don't activate when the object touches it. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to fix this?
