Can we edit a sprite which is already a part of animation?,can we edit a sprite which is in a bone mesh with animation?

Well I made a project and I have a character and I made bones and animated for walking and standing poses. Now I want to change his face in photoshop. Can I edit the individual sprite again so that the edited sprite is updated in Unity? ,
