Spawned Standard FPSController not rotating at all

I'm trying to have a player get in and out of a vehicle and when the payer presses E, they get in the vehicle and it spawns the vehicle controller and deletes the FPS controller, I don't have any problem getting in, but when I get out of the vehicle and it spawns an FPS controller, the camera and the character don't rotate at all. I am using the standard fps controller from Standard Assets.
