Unity Will not run on virtual Windows XP
I'm running a virtual version of Windows XP SP3 on a Linux Ubuntu Host.
I previously got Unity to work on SP2, but on upgrading to SP3 the bootloader screen will not even load. I'd rather fix this problem than downgrade to SP2 again.
I tried the latest version and an older version of Unity, both not working.
Please Help

When you say the bootloader screen doesn't load do you mean you cannot boot into your XP? If so then that's off-topic here. If you mean you can boot into your XP but Unity does not start up, then possibly look for the log file that gets created (see http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/$$anonymous$$anual/Log%20Files.html) and see if that gives any clues.
XP is fine, it's the splash screen of Unity that doesn't show up. Second of all, there are no log files. It seems the program isn't even initiating!

You might try reinstalling Unity; rights/permissions stuff changed in XP SP3, and I bet that messed something up with your Unity install. At my company we had Unity 2.6 working on XP SP3 without issue, so it's definitely not something that can't function at all there.
