Best data type for storing large quantities of data?
I'm using unity to write a program that needs to store anywhere from 1,000-170,000(but likely won't go higher than 10,000) pieces of information (specifically, string variables). This data then needs to be quickly parsed for individual entries.
What would be the best way to store, and manage this data quickly?
For reference, this is for the solution to a problem that has no easy algorithmic solution as it involves the english language. I'm basically writing a lookup table for word translations to a fictional language (or more accurately a sub translation from english, to simplified english. (aka spelled phonetically). For easy document translation.
The idea is to be able to have an entry for each word.
Yes i know i could write some code to create this phonetic spelling automatically, but the english langue is too complex for i could write, and i don't feel like having a complex algorithmic solution. This isn't for production software, its a developer tool.
I just need to know the best data type for this application. Preferably something that can be easily written to a document for saving.
I am open to using third party utilities, I am however, unfamiliar with using that kind of thing.
