Question by dvorton23 · Jun 23, 2012 at 04:43 AM · shootingpickuppickupspower-uptornado-twins

how do i make this advance fire system for my player!!!

Hey guys..

I m workin on a good quality game which also happens to be my first game ever followin many tutorials including Tornado Twins...Now as u guys know, ideas keep poppin all d time...and i got this new idea which i got from a playstation 1 game i used to play 13 yrs back thats ChronoCross by SquareSoft Enix.

Well the idea is i wanna make a "supercharge" power ability for my player like when the power gets overcharged by collecting a certain no. of points, the player can have two supercharge powers active on screen like when Q is pressed on keyboard, a huge meteor comes down and takes on a lot of enemies in a single blow...similarly on pressing R a huge lightning strike bolt strikes from above n do the same to enemies around in a certain radius...

i jus know what i might need in order to get it

done...jus need help...

i have done a lot with my game already like enemy detection AI, pickups, health system, waypoint system, experience and point system, powerups, enemy n my player combat system...with a very smooth gameplay overall..

So lookin at those i know like probably my problem is revolving around spawn points n gravity or such...i guess i gotta find a way for usin three bullit prefabs in all for my player instead of one that i hav now and with two more spawn points some where above my player and hav to bind them to a key..but how...so i jus need help on that...as i said im not a programmer...

As i have been workin on unity for around a month now, i can understand scripts a little. As i m a 3D Animator so have less knowledge on scripting...but i already got a good hold on unity..and using Unity Pro 3.4 atm!!

I'll be thankful for any help in this regard:)

I'm afraid I lost my Crysis generator !

Not saying that to crush your spirit, but your seeing way (way) too big for a first game. Take notes and keep them somewhere, then start small. TicTacToe, pong, that kind of stuff. Halo can wait a little longer.
