2 Player game winning and losing

Hello, I am currently trying to create a 2 player split screen game. In the game the two players each have to collect their 4 gems with the corresponding colour before the other. When one of the players finishes the text "Player 1 wins!" or "Player 2 wins!" appears in the middle of the screen. After one player collects his gems the game continues with the text on the screen, however the if the losing player finishes and collects all of his/her gems then the text will change from the opposing player wins to him/her wins. The code is as follows:

 using UnityEngine;
 using UnityEngine.UI;
 using System.Collections;

 public class BallMove : MonoBehaviour {

     public float speed;
     public Text countText;
     public Text WinText;
     Rigidbody rb;
     int count;

     void Start () {
         rb = GetComponent<Rigidbody>();
         count = 0;
         SetCountText ();
         WinText.text = "";
     }

     void FixedUpdate ()
     {
         float moveHorizontal = Input.GetAxis ("Horizontal2");
         float moveVertical = Input.GetAxis ("Vertical2");

         Vector3 movement = new Vector3 (moveHorizontal, 0.0f, moveVertical);

         rb.AddForce (movement * speed);
     }
     void OnCollisionEnter(Collision other)
     {
         if (other.gameObject.CompareTag ("Pick Up")) {
             other.gameObject.SetActive (false);
             count = count + 1;
             SetCountText ();
         }
     }
     void SetCountText ()
     {
         countText.text = "Score: " + count.ToString ();
         if(count >= 4)
         {
             WinText.text = "Player 1 Wins";
         }
     }

 }

And for the other player:

 using UnityEngine;
 using UnityEngine.UI;
 using System.Collections;

 public class BallMove2 : MonoBehaviour {

     public float speed;
     public Text countText;
     public Text WinText;
     Rigidbody rb;
     int count;

     void Start () {
         rb = GetComponent<Rigidbody>();
         count = 0;
         SetCountText ();
         WinText.text = "";
     }

     void FixedUpdate ()
     {
         float moveHorizontal = Input.GetAxis ("Horizontal");
         float moveVertical = Input.GetAxis ("Vertical");

         Vector3 movement = new Vector3 (moveHorizontal, 0.0f, moveVertical);

         rb.AddForce (movement * speed);
     }
     void OnCollisionEnter(Collision other)
     {
         if (other.gameObject.CompareTag ("Pick Up2")) {
             other.gameObject.SetActive (false);
             count = count + 1;
             SetCountText ();
         }
     }
     void SetCountText ()
     {
         countText.text = "Score: " + count.ToString ();
         if(count >= 4)
         {
             WinText.text = "Player 2 Wins";
         }
     }
 }

Please may someone suggest a way of making sure that if one player finishes first followed by the other player the "WinText" doesn't change.

Thanks in advance

The fastest way you could do that would be just to check if the WinText.text is empty then change it, if not then do nothing.

 if(WinText.text == string.Empty)
 {
     WinText.text = "Player 2 Wins";
 }

you could make a public boolean called hasWon or something similar and then check to see if the other player has won, then stop the losing player from collecting tokens

Thanks! I did think of using a boolean but I don't know have to how to access it from another script.
