Instantiate a chain Object
I have a question. So I'm making an overhead crane object which I can already control by mouse clicking a button of a remote. In that crane there is an attached chain object consisting of 12 individual chain piece prefab that are connected at each other using character joint.
What I wanted to do is when I press a button on the remote , the chain's length would extend by instantiating a single chain prefab on the top and making the previous object a child of the new instantiated chain piece while also making the character joint of the new object connect to the previous chain piece making the chain descend as the length increases.
and when I press this another button the instantiated chain piece on top will be destroyed reducing the length of the chain making it ascend .
The problem is I don't know how to do it, I just figured out the logic, maybe you guys have better idea? . So far I haven't found any answer for this topic. Any advice would be appreciated Thank you!
