black screen on startup after splash - write access to 'Windows' folder?
Black screen on startup after splash (as others have also reported). Work arounds from other threads do not seem to work.
The problem (see log file below) seems to be related to the fact that I don't have write access to the 'Windows' folder because I'm using a domain account which is configured to only give me read access.
Any help appreciated.
