Ways to add vegetation to landscape in unity that is NOT a terrain?
I've been stuck on this for a few days now, I've looked everywhere for the answer and I just can't seem to find it. I'm importing a plane I designed in Blender to use as a landscape, however I can't add vegetation to it. I've found a tool, PaintJob, however, it crashes my unity whenever I try to import the assets.
if I am unable to add vegetation to the Plane, is there a way I can make a Terrain that mimics the Planes dimensions and shape? Maybe I'm missing something obvious here. thank you in advance!

maybe its easier if you try modifying the plane outside unity, maybe using zbrush great program, the end result is the same and easier
