How to add decal to a game object?
I'm trying to leave marks on trees when I hit them with an axe. I tried instantiating a quad on a place of raycast hit, but this has a problem that the hit point is a physics body point, abd this does not match model/mesh, so they float in air.
I need some way to draw directly on a model following its topology.

You need to create a collider simulating the mesh structure. It has to be similar if not it will float.
This doesnt help much, because my decal is flat, and object might be round. So it doesnt work as I want anyway.
