error CS0118: `UnityEngine.Component.renderer' is a `property' but a `type' was expected
im learning unity form youtube. The video is pretty old.
i was suppose to use texture type =texture. but now in unity 5.5 we dont have texture type= texture.
is that the cause of the problem? if so, what should i use?
if not ,what would u suggest?

Please show the code. As the Unity api still changes quite often, videos that are more than 1-2 years old are often outdated. I'd stick which the official Unity tutorial videos, which are quite good.
