"Something went wrong installing unity" Linux chromebook
I have a Linux Chromebook and am getting unity for the first time but It keeps giving me the error "Something went wrong installing unity". I tried many versions of unity and still no luck. I wish unity had more specific error messages.

Unity actually has very specific error messages, Unity on linux has not been completed by any means, they have only released a sort of tech preview, which means that you may run into problems with it. As for your case, maybe this will help. And, reading from the Unity website, it is officially supported on these three versions: Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04. CentOS 7. No clue what this means for you, I have never used linux. Let me know if you need any help :)
This is false. Unity has official releases for Linux, it's not a second-class citizen (or at least it shouldn't be). Regarding the error, it has no specific error messages, not even on windows. This happens to some people in unclear circumstances: https://forum.unity.com/threads/something-went-wrong-installing-unity.1024288/ It's a problem related to the Unity Hub. Not related to linux.
