How to have TextMesh Pro text appear above image?

Hey everyone, so I have this image and a TextMesh Pro text on a canvas, but no matter how I shuffle the two in the hierarchy the text never shows above the image. The image is just a regular image with a sprite. I also tried to change the text's sorting layer but it didn't seem to do anything. Picture provided, any help would be appreciated. alt text

You'll have Text$$anonymous$$eshProUGUI to render T$$anonymous$$P over the UI component. If you can find the component, goto Package$$anonymous$$anager and install Text$$anonymous$$eshPro package.
