File Browser that works on ipad + samsung + desktop

Hello, i'm working on an app and i need to be able to use the file browser on multiple platforms including ipad, samsung, and desktop. i've tried SimpleFileBrowser from the asset store, it works well on my samsung galaxy and on my windows desktop, but i couldn't get it to work on the ipad, may be a permission thing but i've been unable to resolve it.

does anyone know of a file browser BESIDES SimpleFileBrowser that works well on all platforms?

thanks

iOS is not going to play ball here.

There is no file access on iOS.

There are, however, "servers" of a kind that provide some access, to images in the gallery for example.

Look into ALAssetLibrary for iOS if an image is what you're interested in.

As for a platform independent approach - not going to happen.

thanks for the reply, i'm actually looking to load 3d volumes, not images per se, would it be possible to add files with strange extensions such as .nii, or .trk, into the ipad gallery and access them as you say?

I don't know about unrecognized files in the gallery. $$anonymous$$y sense is that if it did work, it might not continue in the future as Apple would likely consider that a nefarious source.

It sounds like you need to consider how the user acquires these 3d volume files. Are they downloaded?
