Display Seperate App in VR
I don't really know how to ask this question so I am going to explain it in detail.
I want to utilize an app that takes control of the VR headset. I want Unity to Run in the background displaying an "overlay" overtop of the app in the headset. I need unity to either:
A) Mirror the app in the headset and function as a vr "game" while sending data to the app as a macro or something similar. (To make the app and the unity app playable at the same time)
B) Unity display as an overlay to the main app and run in the background reading the input of the touch controllers and acting accordingly, while the main app still has focus and responds to the controllers.
I essentially need the touch controllers to communicate with both apps at the same time. Either through unity reading it in the background or Unity focusing it and sending the data to the app at the same time.
I really need to also be able to see the separate App in the vr headset and I don't know how to do that. I thought about potentially mirroring the desktop but that wouldn't quite work as that would just show a 2d version of a 3d vr app.
