Empty or bone? what is the best desicion to swtich and hide goodies from a character?
Hey there ! I am 3D modeller , learning Animations since last year , I need to export my animations (actions in blender, clips into Unity). I got this character (with goodies to mimic with the animations). all the goodies are related to the hand movements (take it on in mind all the time, except for a basket wichi is near the chest of the character).
so now the questions.
for rts games, do I need to use this method? via empty (using empties in unity) where the goodies copy the rotations and positions of the empty... this empty is parented to the character's bone? right?. 2- If I decide to publish the bundle of characters... I need a prefabs with this method?with the empty embed? (or devs, in general lines...prefer to not include the empty). 3- what happened to the bones? or Do I need to create a custom bones in blender (my 3D package) and this new armature with this extra custom bone is useful to control the goodies in my animations from blender to unity? 4- If I choose the bone's method creation from blender to unity (put a bone near the hand of the character, and this bone is controlling the goodies)? If I choose this method, this bones is modify my avatar? (It is possible to deal with the avatar with a custom bones wich is not a finger bone ? is just a copy of some bone of the hand?

I do not want to expect to export the empty to unity, I am not noob. I just want to know the logic behind to create a good developt.
