How to reduce polygon count? I have meshes from pointclouds.
Hi there,
I am not experienced with unity but however I have to make a delivery super soon..
I am creating a landscape model with meshes I calculated from Point Clouds (.las) with the function "Point Clouds to Unity Meshes“ from the tool „PointcloudTools“. I only want to produce a video from my model, but the performance is ridiculously bad, as I have an extremely large number of tris and verts. The number of batches is low.
I tried to use a simplifier tool (MeshKit) but always if I want to decimate my meshes or create an AUTO LOD, it gives me the error message: failed getting triangles. Submesh topology is lines or points. UnityEngine.Mesh:GetTriangles(Int32)
Can anyone tell me what I am missing here and maybe knows why this is not working?
