My player does not turn around

Hi,My username is shenoy111 . I am now working on Survival Shooter .I have just completed your tutorial on Phase 2 (http://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/projects/survival-shooter/player-character?playlist=17144)and when i click play to test the game, player does not turn around while moving and does not hop around.The player just slides along the floor. Please help me . It is my first game and I do not want it to be a flop.
