Camera Bounce when Orbiting too Qucikly
Hi All, I have this issue that when I orbit too quickly the camera some how bonces as if gimbal lock. However when I Orbit slowly this doesn't happen.
Has anyone come across this issue? If so how did you manage to work around it?
Please see the link below, which illustrates the issue I am referring to.
I can think of two reasons. One is, you're not releasing your mouse early enough, so you give it the opposite direction. The other reason could be, that your target rotation surpassed 180 degree, which, for a Quaternion means, take the shortest route, so take the other way around. One way to overcome this is to rotate by increments of angles. At least, to force the direction the rotation should happen.
Thanks for the response.
In terms of increment the rotation, of rotation, would this mean using transform.RotateAround, and making the increments smaller.
How it still be possible lerp the rotation, or would the increments make this almost impossible to do?
