Can't play Unity games:Automatically moves/turns without any input

I haven't been able to play numerous games that run the unity engine because when I load them, the game automatically makes the character move forward and to the right, or look up and to the right. This makes most Unity games unplayable. I'm not sure what the issue could be and I've only encountered this is Unity games. Is there any troubleshooting steps I could go through to fix the issue?
