Unity 3d for a college capstone project
hello,
i would like to use unity 3d for a college capstone project.
my prof expects me to do some coding in either c++ or C# or java..
will this requirement be fulfilled if i develop a game in unity 3d ??

You can code Unity in C# (I do). You do not have to but if you want have to but if that is a requirement Unity we will satisfy that requirement.

unity uses mono for coding. mono is the open source free clone of .net framework. you can use three languages in unity: C#, java script and boo (a python like language). you can use the C# language to write your game code if it's required. if you need a C++ based engine there are some other game engines that provide dlls to you and you can use any language you want. but the best and most productive way to develop games is using unity.

yeah you can use unity3d for coding in C#. You can also write a plugin for unity using c++. If your creating a multiplayer game using unity, then you may also write server extensions in java using a server like smartfoxserver
